Atelier Decor

L’Atelier Decor specialized in garden decoration, and enjoyed an excellent reputation in 1955. The house itself has a extraordinary ambiance;  Plants climb in from every possible direction and light dances beautifully in between. The workshop was found in the backyard, and by entering it everyone would be truly amazed. The workshop itself is like a creation of art, with pastel toned melancholic scenes, contrasting with extremely colorful explosive scenes ! It is indeed an Ali-baba’s cave for the modern explorer.

    Wow! This is almost worth a trip to Europe, just to see this place! The atmosphere captured in your photos is just perfect.  Do you contrast the skies in post-production, or do you just prefer to shoot on cloudy / rainy days?

      Thanks a lot for your nice comment ! I like to shoot on cloudy day, when the clouds are huge and fluffy in front of a very nice blue sky. That’s right, this place worth a trip to Belgium, definitely! And luckily, it’s not the only ruin there, even though this one is probably my favorite :)

    Any information on the history of that wonderful place? Looks indeed as if all the craftsmen just fell asleep like in the fairy tale.

      Exactly :) Unfortunately I have no idea, it seems that most Urban Explorers don’t care much about the story of that place and I couldn’t find it… but that would be great to know it. I will post if I can find it.
