Val-Benoit University
The university of Val-Benoît provided an incredible visit with a 30′s ambiance. Its history dates back to 1937, the King Leopold III ‘s inauguration. Since 1967, the slow decline of the university start: Departments were transferred to new places. In 2005, the university was finally closed, and was surrounded by spiky wires and was patrolled by guard and dogs. The first couple explorers were lucky, we discovered rooms very well equipped, but at the risk of being bitten by one of those big dogs. Fortunately, our visit was ”relatively” quiet. However, when I was about to take a picture of all from the roof,a guard was just walking underneath! The visit turns into a small chase and run,we had to get out of the campus by alternative way which is not very discreet , and took the pedestrians walking outside by surprised. Anyways I took pictures for 2 hours, especially in the former Institute of Applied Chemistry and Metallurgy.
